Wood blocks used for hand block printing are generally made up of sycamore, plane and pear wood. involves carving a desired pattern or design on a wooden block, covering this block with ink or dye and then stamping it on the fabric. While blocks can be made up of stone; but for better results they are more commonly made from wood.

The most commonly used fabric is cotton.
Apart from this Chanderi, Silk, Chiffon, Kota Doria fabrics are also very commonly used as per the requirements.

In general terms it’s always recommended to have first wash separate in salt water. There after you may use them with the regular cloths. However, to preserve brightness of  Hand Prints its generally suggested to wash
them with Soft detergents which are commonly used for washing woolens etc.

Yes, possible but only for minimum order of 500 meters of fabric in the same design and color combination. However, this requirement possible to vary from case to case. And also on other factors which are not possible to explain in writing.
